Here is a collection of love songs to remind you of your sweetheart while he's away in the trenches of Germany. You'll find yourself humming along to Frank Sinatra while on the way to buy war bonds and belting out that new Ella Fitzgerald single when you're walking to the factory (sure you're a housewife but in these times we've all got to chip in! If Rosie can do it than so you can you!) Then when he finally comes home you two can sit around your fancy new phonograph player together and smile at the wonderful tunes that once made you somber. If he comes home that is. Happy wartime!

"mission statement"
I read a lot of blogs and I download a lot of music from blogs. So I decided that instead of just leaching, I should probably give back a little. I'll mostly post music that I enjoy a lot and is rare, out of print or not on every other blog already (or at least I'll try). The idea is that when I leave a comment on one of your blog posts, you will look at my profile, then my blog and hopefully find something here that you can enjoy as much as I did with whatever it is that I was introduced to by your post. Ultimately this blog will end up serving as a basic representation of my personal music tastes.
