I actually bought this CD on accident. I thought they were a different band with "Piedmont" in the beginning of their name that I am now ashamed to admit I ever listened to. Fortunately it was a good thing that I mixed the two up. This CD struck all the right chords for me and I can still listen to it years later, and the other band, well...let's talk about something else.

I never really understood why this band didn't have more fans, at least in the Triangle area of North Carolina (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). I think they are great. What they were going for wasn't the most original path they could have taken but I think they pulled it off pretty well. It's not like people don't dig the modern take on 80's synth pop, because you can take a look at MTV a few years ago and see that they do. So, I don't know. Maybe they aren't that good and I just like them more than I should. Or maybe they just didn't tour enough or whatever. Whatever the reason, this is Piedmont Charisma with their debut full length. If you don't care much for it, at least listen to "Don't Ever Surrender" and "RBK", my two favorite songs on the album.
